Chris Haley is... THE ENTHUSIAST!

I know the internet probably already exploded over it this morning, but I really can’t believe how good this pic of Thor is. I know it’s just one picture, but I seriously never thought they’d get him to look both this accurate and believable. One can only hope the script, direction, acting, etc matches this level of quality.

Why would you ever not buy this comic?

Taking a quick break from the older stuff, you should all check out the first issue of Thor: The Mighty Avenger. Extraordinary work from Roger Langridge, Chris Samnee, and Matt Wilson.  Highly recommended.

THOR: THE MIGHTY AVENGER facial expression collage (art by the always amazing Chris Samnee) from Why I Read Thor: The Mighty Avenger by Amy K. Amy’s reasons are pretty spot on.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, THOR: THE MIGHTY AVENGER is my favorite book we’re currently publishing (and my must-read pile is huge). I read the latest issue with Namor and it went in a whole bunch of directions I wasn’t expecting. It’s surprising and funny and gorgeous and has heart and hot damn it’s another reminder of why I love comics. So…yeah.

Are you fucking kidding me, @Marvel?!
You’re seriously going to cancel the best book you publish?
Is that what we’re talking about here?
Thor : The Mighty Avenger is everything wonderful about comics. I know that might seem hard to swallow if you haven’t read it since it is a comic about Thor, but it is completely true.
Heartfelt. Beautiful to look at. Enjoyable for any age without being insulting to an older reader or talking down to a younger reader. Totally satisfying in installments from a story standpoint, but masterfully building on a larger arc when read together.
And, most importantly, so much fun.
Unless you’re cancelling this book to let Langridge and Samnee take over the regular Thor title, we’re done, Marvel.
I quit.
