Hasbro’s Unproduced New USS Flagg Prototype Makes Your Inner Six Year-Old Weep
In 1986, there was no better way to gain false friendship and genuine jealousy than being the one kid in class whose parents loved him enough could afford to buy The G.I. Joe USS Flagg. The massive 7 foot-long aircraft carrier was the ultimate playset, and with the release of the the “25th Anniversary” line of figures starting in 2007, plenty of Joe fans and collectors hoped that there would be a new version released so that they could finally feel the joy that they never had as children.Sadly, even though the line was extensive enough to include “Rowdy” Roddy Piper teaming up with Destro, a new Flagg was never released. This weekend at the 2011 G.I. Joe convention, however, Hasbro revealedan prototype design for a new USS Flagg that for some reason never made it to the public.

There was this and the giant space shuttle. Those were the two most impressive toys anyone could possibly have.
I knew a kid who had both of them.
Obviously, he was the Lord of GI Joes on the playground, even though he was faced with the unique problem of having toys everyone wanted him to bring to school but which were far too large to ever be brought to school.
The GI Joe Mobile Command Center (enjoy the commercial) was the biggest toy I ever had and if I had any idea what happened to it, I’d probably still be playing with it today.

Street Fighter X Mega Man!

Huh? Okay! This surprise Capcom crossover releases as a free PC download on December 17. Instead of fighting eight Robot Masters, Mega Man takes on eight Street Fighters this time, gaining their powers with each victory.

This is all very weird! Maybe it’s awesome too? We can all agree, though, that it’s a thing with Mega Man. And it looks a lot better than a lot of the other Mega Man stuff Capcom has released lately.

Holy socks, I remember being in love with this artwork when I was a kid.I have to track these back issues down now. Was the cartoon (only one episode if I recall correctly) based on the comic or the other way around? Also, there was a video game I remember renting several times (which wasn’t great).Anyone else have any memories or information?
